Two movers carrying a flat timber artwork crate up wide sandstone steps toward a glass-fronted house
ART TRAVELS IN BOARD AND TIMBER, AND SOMEONE ALWAYS WALKS AHEAD

What stated care actually means

  • Artwork: corner-boarded, face-wrapped, crated where the piece or the carry demands it, carried flat or on edge as the work requires, never leaned on a rail.
  • Wine: moved in its own cartons, kept out of the sun, loaded last and unloaded first on warm days, straight to the coolest room or the cellar.
  • Designer and antique pieces: photographed before wrap, blanket-and-film wrapped, strapped solo so nothing rides against them, placed on felt not dragged.
  • Pianos and the genuinely heavy: planned as their own small project inside the move, with the equipment and crew count they demand.

None of this is theatre, and none of it is extra-cost mystery: it's the standard way this crew handles things worth handling, inside the same hourly tiers as every move.

The part most movers can't offer: the ground

The difference between a good crew from over the bridge and us is an hour of local fact. Which end of your street a truck can actually hold. Whether your carry is the front steps or around by the garden path. What the inclinator takes. Where the afternoon sun hits a parked truck, which matters when the wine's aboard. We've carried into these houses; that knowledge is the service.

SETTLEMENT DAY

If your dates are locked, say so in the enquiry and we'll plan to them. The honest version of "we'll be there": we schedule properly, confirm the day before, and build slack into the plan rather than promises we can't own. What we won't do is quote a fixed total sight-unseen; the walk-through comes first, every time.

Coming from further away

Plenty of moves in start in another city. We handle the receiving end as its own job: meet the line-haul, stage in the garage if the house isn't ready, unpack to rooms over a day or two once it is. One local crew who knows the house beats three phone numbers who've never seen it.

Start with the Carry Check if you haven't seen the property's access yourself yet, its questions are exactly what your buyer's agent can answer, or go straight to the enquiry with your dates.
