How the absent-owner move works

  • You tell us both ends. What's going, from where to where, and anything with a story we should know (the fragile lamp, the table that scratches if you look at it).
  • We hold the keys. Collected from you, a neighbour, an agent or a lockbox; returned the same way. Alarms armed and disarmed as instructed, doors photographed locked.
  • We send you the record. Photos as pieces are wrapped, loaded and placed, so you can see the sofa sitting where you asked without driving up to check.

You get the same crew behaviour whether you're standing there or standing in a meeting in the city. That's the whole point.

What a part-load costs

The same honest clock as everything else: most part-loads suit the two-mover crew at $250 an hour, door to door. A few pieces between Palm Beach and the city is typically a morning's work; we'll give you the realistic hours picture when we hear the list. No minimum-load games, no "small job" surcharge.

WORTH KNOWING

The run to the city is about 43 kilometres and most of an hour each way on a good day, all down the one road. We fold the driving into the plan honestly, and we'll tell you when combining two small jobs into one trip makes your hours cheaper.

What moves well as a part-load

Sofas, beds, outdoor settings at season's turn, the spare fridge, boxed kitchenware, artwork done properly in board and blanket, the surfboards nobody trusts to roof racks. What doesn't: anything that should really be a full move pretending it isn't. If your list keeps growing while we talk, we'll say so, kindly, and quote the move it actually is.

Renovations and estate turnover

Weekenders get refreshed more than lived in: a renovation empties three rooms into a garage, a sale swaps the furniture out entirely. We do staged moves around trades, hold-and-return runs within the peninsula, and clear-outs coordinated with family who can't be here. If timing matters more than speed, say so; we build the plan around the keys, not the clock.
