Guidance, not a contract

Everything on this site, the guides, the Carry Check, the hours discussions, the suburb notes, is general guidance to help you plan a move on this peninsula. None of it is a quote or a promise about your specific job. A real quote happens the way the site describes: you tell us about the move and the access, we talk it through, and the crew, hours picture and rate are agreed before the job.

The Carry Check

The Carry Check estimates and steers. Its grades and crew suggestions are our honest read of the answers you give it, and nothing more: it can't see your staircase, and it never outputs a fixed total. Its results become useful the moment a human confirms them against the actual access, which is exactly what the enquiry process does.

Rates and hours

The hourly rates shown ($250, $350 and $500 by crew size) are current and real. Hours vary with volume and access, which is why we give ranges and confirm the picture before work starts. Where the site offers typical shapes ("a morning's work", "most of a day") they are planning frames, not commitments.

Local facts and figures

Suburb statistics, distances and drive times quoted on this site come from public geographic data and are current when written. They're offered as context, and roads, traffic and datasets all change; check anything you're relying on for your own timing.

Images

Some images on this site are illustrative, stock or generated, rather than photographs of specific completed jobs. They show the kind of work and care we mean; they are not presented as records of particular moves.

Links

Where we link to outside sources (government guidance, industry bodies), it's because they're genuinely useful; we don't control their content and they don't endorse us by being linked.
